I'm shocked and thrilled that I was able to get him with the 47th pick. I didn't want to release him in the first place, and no one wanted to offer up anything for him with only 1 exemption used up. He might be a keeper for me next offseason.

Guys I kept this offseason that will lose their exemptions next year are James Shields and Stephen Drew.

I was going to pick cueto with my next pick if he were still there.

I am extremely saddened that I disappointed you so.

Right! :pig:

Actually, I had him on my prep spreadsheet as a potential first rounder. The only thing that kept me from him at this point is pitching in GAB. I'm worried about the fact that he gave up 29 hr last year, 18 of them being in cincy. I think that's a trend that will continue and that it will take him a few years to learn to control the walks & hr.

Well, that plus the whole Dusty factor, too.

Another pick I had on my list for the 4th round. :(

Might have to make Adam happy and pick another closer! :)

He definitely likes to give up the long ball. If he pitched in Petco last year, his ERA probably would have been closer to the 2's rather than the 4's.

I'm hoping he keeps the ball down this year. Someone in that organization is smart enough to explain this to him, right?

You can count on Dusty.

I've got until around 3:45 (ct). Then I'll be fairly well hosed until around 9pm tonight, though I'll try to pop online if I can.

If not, I'll leave my picks with someone just in case.

I had him as my 2nd rounder (well, first rounder if Roberts was gone, Tim knew this), but I was down to the last decent 1B I had on my list by the time I picked.

You can leave them with me. You pick twice yet before I pick again.

I can't help but pick for the 3rd time a player that I had on my team last year. Can't be all bad, the team finished in first place in the standings.......
