It may not seem important as it doesn't affect their seed or bie week but The Ginats do need to beat the Vikings. They have struggled down the stretch ever since the Buress fiasco. They need to show that they're still the best team in the NFC even if its only to themselves. They can also knock the Vikings out of the playoffs with a win. If I were the Giants I'd much rather see the Bears win the NFC North as far as potential playoff matchups are concerned.

The Giants wouldn't play the NFC North team unless they both made the NFC title game. The NFC North winner will be the #3 seed and the 3 seed will automatically play the 2 if they win in round 1.

If the unlikely scenarios placing the Bears in the playoffs don't happen, the Lions had better compensate by going 0-16. (Though, that would mean I'm rooting for the Packers when their win would not benefit the Bears in any way :shock: )

Well, it's not surprising that they'll rest Jacobs since he is still recovering from a knee injury.
