Young, cheap, LH, athletic, good defense, speed, great power, and rumored to be available for the right price, but unfortunately the Cardinals wouldn't trade Ankiel to the Cubs. Maybe we can con some team into trading for him and then flipping him to the Cubs.

Wrong. Grady Sizemore would be The Perfect Fit For The OF.

double wrong, BJ Upton

No Sizemore is right. Can you imagine how much Upton would get hammered when he chose to not run out his ground balls?

no way, ramirez and him would become quick friends!

I just picked Sizemore based on the 100 point OPS difference, but that was probably dumb.

Since Hill is pulling an Ankiel in Venezuela, maybe someone should just hand him a bat and see what happens. It'd be cheaper.

Except he doesn't play for the Cardinals.

How come no one has mentioned Jose Guillen? They have a very crowded OF and would love to get rid of his salary. He makes about 12 million a year for the next 2 years. We need a power hitting RF badly without spending a ton of money, AND we need to trade Jason Marquis and his 9 million $ salary. So if we somehow work out a trade with KC involving Marquis and Guillen then it's a win win. KC saves about 3 million bucks and gets a SP. We get a new RF for only about 3 million. Then we can hopefully have enough money to get Peavy. Man that would be nice, and it makes sense to me!

Because Jose Guillen was one of the worst right fielders in baseball last year.

Guillen actually played left field last year, because Teahan could only handle right.

I actually thought Guillen was a good defensive RF. Or at least decent. I know he has a cannon for an arm.

He has no range at all anymore. Plus the guy was constantly trying to pick fights with fans and his team all year. Now if you hit like Albert Pujols, that's fine be a jerk. But, when you hit like Jose did last year, maybe you should just shut up, make your 12 Million, and play.

I wasn't talking about defense, even if was playing in left field. His OBP was .300 last year.

Yeah, his 08 was pretty bad. I'd only take him in a trade if we didn't give up much and the Royals picked up a hefty portion of his contract, which they won't.
