Tennessee/Mississippi State going exactly the way I thought it would.

The teams are moving it around between the 20s and I'm not sure anybody's reached either opponents' red zone yet.

Middle 2nd quarter, no score.

I remember thinking he would beat out McCoy after Young left. Something I don't mind being wrong about :-).

Hah. No kidding. McCoy is a stud. I'm glad with Snead though. We haven't had a QB in 5 years since Eli left.

I thought Snead had more raw talent, and Colt had grown into his body. Colt just has unbelievable instincts and leadership, very much like Major did. He had more time to study the offense and was ahead of the curve on Snead. Snead is very tough, and when I was watching him as a freshman had a great arm.

Looks like someone went into both the UM and PSU lockerrooms at halftime and reminded them which team they were. Penn State wins the second half 32-0

i didn't realize snead was white until i saw the florida game highlights.

so i guess college gameday will be headed for columbus next week. there are some other very big games (georgia-lsu, okie st-texas) but they've done texas games for two straight weeks now, and the psu-o$u game is basically the big ten championship game. for penn state, it's their biggest threat to lose this year; if they win they've got a very good chance of playing for the championship.

i can't wait. die buckeyes die.

yep. Depending on what happens with the BCS standings, you're looking at two Top-10 teams playing next week.

I'm impressed with how well Penn State has made adjustments this year. They've started slowly a few times, but the coaching staff figures it out quickly. Michigan went from marching down the field 3 times to getting completely confused on offense.

I'm telling you right now, that "terrible" and "lousy" Iowa team will be the one to beat Penn State.

Oh and it still looks crazy to say Shonn Greene will leave for the NFL doesn't it? 25 carries for 217 and 4 TD's against a very good run defense. Yes, lol indeed.

i don't think many people thought iowa was terrible, except for overly-cynical iowa fans. it's certainly no walkover for penn state, but they certainly have a larger hurdle to clear before heading out to iowa city.

Tough win for Bama, for the second straight game, but dang a costly win. 1: Cody will be out atleast a couple of weeks and 2: Coffee can't hold onto the ball. Atleast Alabama has arguably the best young RB prospect in Mark Ingram to replace him.

OMC, don't be upset about the loss. This was the one game, post GA, I thought Alabama had a shot at losing (even moreso then LSU, sorry Vance). And while he wasn't as active as last yr, Greg Hardy is a monsterous beast of a player. Arguably the most talented defensive player in America right now.

And the resident Illinois fans.

And with 6:43 left in the half, Mississippi State kicks a field goal and it's tied at 3.

first to double digits wins

At this rate, I'm not sure either of us are getting to double digits.

Penn State has 2 weeks to prepare for that game. I'm hoping that if they win in Columbus next week that they don't think they can sleep walk through their final 3 games

iowa was terrible early in the season...no real two ways about it. of course they've since stopped playing christensen and they've gotten much better.

Yes, Iowa is the biggest threat. Not Ohio State.

Northwestern's my favorite for the Rose Bowl this year too.

i wouldn't worry so much about that. there are plenty of valid criticisms of joe paterno, but failing to have his team ready is not one of them. i can't think of many times when they crapped the bed against an average team because they were either looking ahead or on a hangover after a big win.

not this year at any rate. I love the fact that this team doesn't let up with a lead. That gives me a ton of confidence. Not once have they let a team back into a game after going up, especially in the 2nd half. They don't start "playing not to lose"
