He almost singlehandly cost us the game. You don't sit you studs late in the 4th until the game is serioulsy in the bag. You are not supposed to bring back you best players in an emergency because the other team has suddenly "roared" back. That isn't basketball. We are freakin running a head coaching internship this season.

Considering Rose was leading the league in minutes per game as a rookie, I really don't have any problem with it. The guy will need some rest eventually and that was as good of time as any to let him get a breather.

Exactly. We were up 17 with just over 5 minutes left. The game should have been over. If you wanna rip the players that were in at that time, then go ahead, but there's better reasons to bitch about Del Negro.

He probably actually played more minutes because of it. Rose is the engine that runs this team. You always rest your stud late in the 3rd, early in the 4th. That is what Phil did all the time with MJ, because they also get the extra rest during the quarter timeout. And if he let Rose play another couple of mintues the lead woudl have been enough to ice it away. Instead he has to rip him off the bench again.

 

Del Negro isn't here because he was a hidden gem...some NBA stud coachin the making. He is here because he is cheap. Bottom line.

i'm pretty sure my intramural team could have held that 17 point lead with 5 minutes left better than that group of bulls did.

I don't really like him either, but there's nothing wrong with resting your rookie PG with that big of a lead with that little amount of time left

I don't like Rose playing 35-40 minutes a night. But unless the Bulls have a quality backup, it's prolly their only option.

Haha, at 9-11, the Bulls are right now the 8 seed in the East. Wow, the East sucks.

I don't think it's a problem if Rose plays 35-40 minutes a night. He should be able to handle it just fine.

 

I'm sure there will be some games where he doesn't have his legs. That's the product of a long season...but nearly every high caliber player in the league plays 35-40 minutes. It shouldn't be an issue.

 

Now if he's playing 44 minutes a night because we are just good enough to sneak in the playoffs (but only if we play Rose a ton) then that could be an issue.

Thats pretty much how it has been since Jordan retired the 2nd time.

 

The Atlanta Hawks were 37-45 last season.

Larry Hughes hit another big shot tonight to give the Bulls the win. Duhon has really gotten chuck-happy since being on the Knicks too. He took a lot of awful shots down the stretch which really helped the Bulls out.

 

One game under .500 with a chance to get there on Friday night against Memphis.
