Soriano's postseason OPS, by year: .713, .563, .562, .343, .167

That is going to be a dang hard streak to keep up for another year or two.

not really. chances are good we will get a lousy owner and never make the playoffs again, for like 25 years or so.

its a shoe-in really.

The lousy owner will be broke.

That is my #1 fear for the future.

Does it really matter if all they are gonna do is lay down like a bunch of dogs?

Hit into double plays all year. Booted a ball in game one. Hasn't done crap like everyone else w/ RISP. Impotent leader.

Exactly. Why do we *want* them to make the playoffs? Does it ever mean good things? Does it make us happy? No.

It's like wanting to see your dog get run over.

Rich folks are business people who realize that Wrigley will fund the Cubs for a while before they need to put a good product on the field.

What'd Lee do?

That's a great question. What has he done for us since April?

This ought to make us hit the bottle harder tonight:

The Milwaukee Brewers, who missed the playoffs entirely last year because of us and who lost the division to us this year, will more then likely have one more playoff win with ZERO division titles in those two years.
