Exactly. Why do we *want* them to make the playoffs? Does it ever mean good things? Does it make us happy? No.

It's like wanting to see your dog get run over.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.

 

It's sincere right now, but I probably won't mean it in a few months.

 

I know that I honestly wish the Cubs would be contracted tomorrow so I'd be free of my obligation to stick with my team and go root for the Cardinals.
