Part of me wants the TIgers to win this game, but part of me also wants the Sox to win today, and then let the Twins pound them tomorrow. Just a little more heartbreak that way

I have a hard time imagining the Tigers actually giving a good effort in this game, after such a disappointing season that has them finishing in last place in the Central.

You think the Tigers wouldn't want to crush the Sox's playoff hopes? I think they would.

I think if the Tigers were playing the Sox last week, they'd love to crush the Sox playoff hopes.

I think today, the TIgers simply wish the season were already over.

While I understand what you are saying, Im left wondering how the 9 guys playing could not give a good effort. Are they going to just stand at the plate and not swing the bat? Is Garcia just going to lob 75 mph batting practice fastballs? Are the defenders just going to let the ball go by them? Im not saying this to be a smartass either, its just that in baseball, it really doesnt take giving a good effort to win a game.

This is a team that entered the season as practiacly the undisputed favorites to win the whole thing, and ended up in dead last, in one of the weaker divisions in the game. You dont think that they'll want to make one of their rivakls pay? They'll be treating this like their world series.

Go Tigers (for fantasy reasons...I know you don't care but I do).

So what happens if this gae were rained out? Would they make them play the Tigers tommorow and the Twins wednesday, or make them run the gauntlet tommorow?

They wouldn't make the Twins fly to Chicago if there was a potential for no game.

I think they will do everything in power to get the game in today. If they have to start the game at 7 there will be baseball today.

The Twins/White Sox - Rays series doesn't start until Thursday so they have an extra day to get the games in if necessary without pushing back Game 1 of the series.

Delay can't last much longer:

I'm cheering for the Sox for now. I'm just thinking about how awesome it would be if we beat them in the World Series.

I never want a Cubs-White Sox World Series. When the Cubs are in the World Series, I want the Sox as far away from it as possible.

I agree 1000 percent. I don't know how much of a chance there'd be of the Sox beating the Red Sox/Angels/Rays, but I'd rather not take the chance.

I don't dislike the Sox. I have a few friends who are Sox fans.

So? I have a lot of friends who are Sox fans. I enjoy seeing my friends suffer.

Eh, I agree with Chucky. I don't dislike the Sox, not only because some of my friends and family are Sox fans, but also because I could never actively hate on a Chicago team.

Probably the reason I'm not as big of a White Sox hater is because I haven't lived in Chicago for most of my life, so I've never developed the hatred. Although I can see how some of you Chicagoans don't like the Sox one bit; I've developed the same feelings for the Carolina Panthers, living in NC.
