What are the odds of a team that is statistically superior losing four straight playoff games with a -15 run differential?

At what point are we allowed to wonder if it's something wrong with the team and not just flukes?

We had a lot of comebacks, but those certainly won't be as easy in the playoffs when managers won't stick with starters as long and will play a lot harder for each and every win no matter what the score is.

That seems rather anti-clutch.

Like I said earlier...I don't believe in goats and curses, but the pressure on a Cub team in the playoffs is exponentially higher than the opposition.

Are you seriously comparing last year's team to this year's team? Yeah, no point in reading your posts anymore.

It's called cognitive dissonance. Anything that doesn't agree with your preconceived notions can be discarded without consideration.

I think he means last year's team was superior to Arizona in terms of run differential. Apparently we were going to slaughter them because they had given up more runs than they scored.

And we did.

He'll, I'll do you one better: 9-20 in playoff games since WWII. Fluke?

At least we get to see Maddux pitch.

We may be seeing Lowe in Game 4. If we make it that far.

I mean he's in now.

which means he's probably not going in game 4
