This honestly is must win.

No, it's not.

iirc, 32 of 36 lds series' have been won by the team that took the first game.

kind of is.

I can hear it now....

"I just didn't have my best stuff tonight...." - That's the difference between winners and losers - the winners find a way to win even when they don't have their best stuff.

Absolutely pathetic - can't wait to listen to all my coworkers wise cracks and jokes tomorrow.

This honestly is must win.

No, it's not.

if you win, you can go .500 and win the series

if you lose, you have to go .750 to win the series

it's close to must win

This is one of the very few Cubs teams I can remember that I actually have faith will mount a (real) rally.

hopefully.. i on the other hand have the opposite feeling of this game being over.

So how much do you want to bet that Lou left Dempster in there because it was the fifth and he wanted him to be able to get a win?

I agree. The Dodgers are pretty much done scoring for the game, and I definately see the Cubs coming back and winning this game. This first two games are the Cubs games, period. The Cubs will not lose home field advantage.
