"I Am Nervous For The Playoffs" Thread

Well, here we are everyone. 162 games done, and if the Mets game holds up, we will be playing the Dodgers in the first round. It is entirely possible that in a week, everything that this whole season could have been for nothing. I am very nervous and excited for the playoffs to start.

well, this is kind of the point, isn't it? (regarding the first post).

 

The second post is just ridiculous - how can a team not look flat playing meaningless games? The Dodgers may win but it won't be because the Cubs are flat.

I'm ready for the playoffs and it is only natural to be nervous, but I'm not any more worried about the Dodgers than I would be any other team. Anything can happen, but the Cubs are the better team and should win the series.

They've got the second best staff in the NL and they have the best offense. The Dodgers have been playing the dregs of the NL for the better part of a month.

Fun fact: When you have more leads, you are more prone to blow saves. It's like leading the league in double plays.

I'm going to try and completely take off the next two days from baseball.

 

Because come Wednesday, I'm going to be an unconditional wreck, equal parts deathly nervous and optimistic. The Cubs could easily come out and dominate and could just as easily do absolutely nothing and make fools of themselves again.
