People can say what they want about Santo but the radio broadcast is kind of boring without him.

 

Seconded. The call of Marquis' grand slam on Monday was so... empty... without Ronnie shouting OH MY GOSH in the background.

Pat just said that they are going to consider it a normal outing for Z as he has only pitched about 16 innings in the month of September.

In all seriousness, I don't see anyway he would get pulled. It's probably the best for him and the Cubs, but I don't know if Lou would pull the trigger and take him out until someone reached base. Interesting to see if this might actually play out.

Perez already has 63 pitches through 2.2 innings. Do Mets fans cringe every game that Santana doesn't pitch knowing in almost all certainty that they will have to see their bullpen go at least three innings?
