I can't think of one good reason why Tillman shouldn't be cut right now to prove a point to these players.

I'll probably feel better when I'm calmed down.

Please.

uh, wow. Could easily be 3-0.

And these two games could easily cost the Bears a trip to the playoffs.

Hopefully they send the tape to the league for review. You shouldn't get a 15 yard PF when another player takes a full swing at you and all you do is wrap him up and go to the ground.

Playoffs? Playoffs? The upset win over the Colts was nice but is becoming readily apparent the Bears are not playoff material in 2008. Probably another 7-9 type of team.

Lovie Smith needs to be fired. Get control of your team idiot.

Quit being a complete troll already. This is just stupid crap.

Trolling? It is a reasonable point. This extra-curricular crap started at the very beginning of the game.

Body of work, this was just the last one.

The refs blew that call, and hopefully some Buc players will be suspended when that is reviewed.

Was Tillman behind the Bucs players throwing two punches the Bears' way?

Gotta love when refs cheat, wonder how much money he had on this game.

Yes let's overlook Kyle's poor play at times and the defense failing to stop Tampa at the end of the 4th quarter and just blame it on Peanut retaliating when he should know better. Who cares if Tampa started it, the refs NEVER see who started it. You have to realize it's OT and you are getting the ball back.....winning the damn game should be retaliation enough.

I'm tired of people making excuses for the this team.

Go ahead and blame it on the refs but 99% of the time they never catch the first offender. It is always the response that gets flagged. Peanut has to be smarter than that, period.

But whatever, go ahead and make excuses. I'm out of this thread.

I know what you mean... but regardless of all of that... the game SHOULD NOT be decided on something like that IN OVER TIME... completely unprofessional.

Sounds like the refrain of a 1-2 team. Coulda, coulda, coulda........

I don't see Bukie making excuses. :?

I'm actually am a high school official and I know that, at the professional level, it's very difficult to see everything. The NFL has the replay system in place and, when you have something as obvious as two Bucs players throwing *several* punches, then I wish they would review that (meaning look at the whole situation, perhaps give both teams personal foul penalties...). Especially considering the importance of the call and the relative lack of force used by Tillman. On the other hand, perhaps that really gets complicated as far as what you review. Tillman has to just get away from the play, just get off the damn field. It's just stupid for any Bears player to get involved after making such a crucial stop.

Not to mention, the game shouldn't have went to overtime in the first place. The Bears pass defense was really bad in the 4th quarter. Someone needed to get a stop.

Who's making excuses? At this point you're just baiting posters anyway.

It was a blown call, and absolutely something that Tillman can't let happen at that point in the game.

It sucks to have outplayed all three opponents to this point and be 1-2.

I'll agree with you on that, you really can't blame the refs for that penalty. If Tillman doesn't retaliate, nothing happens and the Bears get the ball back with great field position.

I'm going to go out on a major limb here (sarcasm) and just assume that Tampa's defense probably aimed to just shut down the Bears running game and to make Orton beat them; the good ol' Tarvaris Jackson strategy. I'm sure that had something to do with how the playcalling and Orton's passing changed in the 2nd half.

They rarely catch the first offender unless that offender keeps attacking for 5+ seconds. Given what happened here, they should have seen both of them

Even if you call a person foul it should have been off-setting penalties. There was no reason to only call it on Tillman.

Regardless, the Bears pass D was atrocious. There's alot of money wrapped up in this D and much of it is in the secondary. They better tighten this thing up.

Tommie Harris = most overrated player in the NFL.

He's not even 100%, is he?

I dunno, who cares. It was a supreme waste of money.

He's the best DT in football when he's healthy.

The Bears' brass thought he would be healthy after having surgery. When he is healthy he is possibly the best DT with regard to pressuring the QB in the league. He obviously is injured, which is why he sits out of most practices. His knee keeps swelling. But the Bears had to sign him. You can't give up on him. He has seen limited playing time so far, but when he is in the game he is just taking up space.

Davis needs to start catching balls. He has had two easy drops the last two weeks. He signed the big deal in the offseason and has yet to produce.

Even if Tilman wasn't the instigator, he knows better than that. How many times have we seen the refs miss the first punch and see the second and give that guy the penalty. I don't blame the refs so much as Tilman.

At the end of regulation when Orton decided to run for the first down and almost got killed, I am pretty sure he had one of the TEs wide open right in front of him. What was he thinking in running for it?
