I posted this in the other thread, but its more appropriate here...

Even if every series goes the max, we can go with a 3 man rotation of Z, Harden, Dempster until the WS only having to go with Z once on 3 days rest (game 4 of first series) and Dempster once on 3 days rest (game 4 of second series). The only time we'd have to pitch Lilly would be game 4 of the WS.

My wife has free airfare and hotel at the Wynn in Vegas from the 26th -30th. I cannot believe I may be skipping a free trip to Vegas

I'm going to New Orleans, golfing, and then to see Georgia @ LSU October 23-26th. I can't believe I may be skipping a very expensive trip to Louisiana.

When did you plan this?

Anybody have any idea when postseason tickets go on sale? Or is that completely dependent on when the playoff seeding is set in stone?

No, it's definitely not.

Last year, IIRC, they started selling them well before the Cubs had clinched. I think it was like mid-September...

NLCS tickets went on sale before the NLDS even began.

I would guess we'll hear something within 7-10 days about when they'll go on sale.

You think it'll be that soon? I certainly hope so. I need to know with as much notice as possible so that I don't schedule anything for that morning.

And as I finished typing this, I got an email saying that the trip was cancelled.

I think so. I'm guessing they'll go on sale in 2-3 weeks, in which case we'd have to hear pretty soon.

Here's my make everyone jealous for the day moment: I found out several weeks ago that one of my wife's best friends from high school works for Ticketmaster in St. Louis and can get tickets to just about anything for personal use pretty much at will for cost. I will definitely be taking advantage of this information for the playoffs.

Do you need someone to ride with you from St. Louis?!? I'll buy the gas!! (for the small fee of also recieving a face value ticket of course)

Screw that. I'll drive down there, pick him up, spring for the gas, and drive him back home.

I'm assuming that all first pitches will be at about 9:45 eastern time per usual ;)

At least it'll be the weekend games this time.
