Hey Fred, I thought of this question during the game on Thursday. What is the Cubs ERA the inning after they either tie the game or take the lead?

I never really tracked that in that way.... but I was looking at runs given up after you've scored a while back. Not very interesting stuff; CUBS gave up runs like that at about the same rate as their opponents, so I didn't pursue it any further.

Ah, understandable, can't expect you to track every stat. I was think of when the Cubs tied it against Cole Hamels, then Dempster gave up 3 run next inning.

Wind blowing in from RF at 12 mph is going to help nullify that LH Philly power. Ted Lilly has 7 QS in his last 8, and is in a good place to do it again. After only 4 hits yesterday, our offense is about due to wake up and put some big numbers on the board. CUBS win this one handily.

Go CUBS !!

Can't really complain about the lineup, but I'd like to see some of the position players to start getting some days off. Maybe they are waiting for the September call ups though.

Fans cannot reach over the baskets. . . .that would take some serious talent.

Those baskets stretch a long way from the seats.

And we're off to a bad start.

He's only throwing his fastball topping out at 88 mph..It's gonna get crushed..Throw the damn curveball or slider

He's always around that speed in the first inning.

Nice job, Theodore, to get out of that inning unscathed.
