I noticed it over the last few games I've been able to catch. When did he go from having that flat footed stance to looking like Aramis Ramirez with the propped up shin? Has he been doing this all year? I don't recall him standing like this earlier in the season. Just curious

I noticed this quite a bit earlier in the season. The adjustment would make sense if he's trying to pull the ball more (as it probably makes him quicker through the zone), but we all know he would rather hit weak bloopers to shallow RF.

Yea, I'd rather he go back to Theriot of old, pulling grounders to the left side and putting up a .260/.320 line like last year.

Nice jab. I think it's fair to say theriot has surpassed everyone's expectations this season. give him his due, he has been productive.

He's also been one of the luckiest players in the majors, crappy LD% notwithstanding. Happy about his isoD though

Theriot's BABIP is right in line with his LD%. How has he been lucky?

There are four players in the league who have gotten on base more frequently than Theriot. It amazes me that people still bag on the guy left and right.

Well when you don't know how to properly use those stats, it's really easy just to quote them so you look like you know what you are talking about even if you are just spewing venom.

And back on topic, I really haven't noticed a change in Theriot's batting stance.

I don't know how or if this can be backed, but I'm not as surprised as I used to be when Theriot would hit a ball to the left side of the field.

I thought I did a few days ago, but I really think it's just an illusion because he's been wearing that protective shield over his ankle/shin.

damn magician crap ... he should concentrate on playing baseball and not making illusions with his batting stance.
