"Concept" Cubs Jerseys I found

I like the pinstripes too, and would like to keep them. But, I don't hate the idea of an all-white home uniform. Plus, the Cubs have had home uniforms without pin stripes many times in their history, so it isn't like the Yankees dropping the pin stripes for the first time.

 

But, instead of replacing the current regular home uniform, why not replace the home alternate blue tops with a white one? In fact, I would make it an alternate uniform so the pants make sense with the top (unlike the blue tops with the white blue-striped pants like we have now).

 

I'd also make sure (in my perfect world) they were actually alternate uniforms and not overworn. Instead of letting the starting pitcher use, I would only allow them on Sundays, or something like that.

For reference as to how awesome all-white would be, look no further back than the throwback game against the Braves. Main difference would be the logo and non-old-school pants/socks.

How about a road gray uni with blue pinstripes? I'm thinking like the Rockies road uni.

 

Then we could go with the all white home.

Honestly, I really don't care about the other ones. I just want the home jerseys stripeless and nameless.

 

The current road jerseys are ugly as sin and anything would be an improvement.

 

I'm with you on the stripeless home jerseys. The Cubs have never won with stripes. Go back to white with no names.

The home jersey is the same as the current one, minus pinstripes, adding names, slightly different logo. Looks like the old jerseys

Road jersey if the same with a different font

Alternate jersey is the same with the addition of a red stripe on the sleeve

There is no road alternate (as far as I know)

The BP jersey's are the same

 

These jersey's have only minute differences than the ones we have now. Why is there serious discussion about the audacity of these?

They are the same in that they are sleeved buttoned up shirts with Cubs related names, numbers and logos on them. Otherwise they are quite different from what they currently wear.

And I think differently on the nameless thing, I think it was just to emphasize the 'name on the front' philosophy after the Sammy 2004 fiasco, and they switched back because they realized it looked dumb as hell.

i kind of like the batting practice jersey they have, i'd like to see the primary cubs logo on a blue uniform again. other than that, no to everything else.

2)every Sunday for home games wear a throwback home jersey from yesteryear (I liked the ones from the Braves game).

3)Put the primary logo back on the alternates and ditch the walking bear sort of like the road '84 jersies.

4) Do something new with the main road uni's. Just not the Cuba jersey.

I agree with everything here. So, now we are up to $.04.

 

Also, to the different posters talking about names on the back of the uniforms, I believe that is something the Cubs have done for only the last decade or so. I'm ambivalent either way about the names, but it is a rather recent thing for them to do.
