Has Michigan gained more yards on penalties or on offense.

It's been pretty bad on offense. You can tell neither QB has any sort of experience. Still, UM is playing a ton of young players which makes me excited for the future.

Your not ready to fire Rich yet? Nah, anyway thats a positive way to look at the season after this game. The olin play wasnt as crappy as i thought might happen and the QB play was b.a.d. Sheridan cant throw a good pass past 15 yards, Threet has more upside passing the ball but needs experience. The defense was very disappointing in the first half but was a different team in the 2nd. The qb play really dragged this team down, not exactly a shock. Right now a 5-7 team is what im thinking, hell maybe worse.

Apparently I've managed to become a social outcast here because I refuse to cheer for the Illini. I love the Badgers and there's no way I'm changing that any time soon.

Seriously, imagine moving to Houston and deciding you want to root for the Cubs and the Astros. There's something wrong with that.

Why do they continue with the charade that the Mizzou/Illini game is in neutral territory?

Sure, it's not on Mizzou's actual home field, but it's well in their territory. It's a Mizzou home game. Every year.

Seems like the Illini are foolish to not insist that it switch to a more Illinois-centric location every other year.

*sigh*

It doesn't look to me like Juice has improved his throwing much. He still shows that tendency to overthrow everything, no touch on the ball when he needs to.

Juice Williams update: Still horribly inaccurate.

It's hard to tell that he worked out with Donovan McNabb because he's overthrowing receivers, not throwing it into the dirt at the receivers' feet.

I find it laughable that the announcers say Juice is "very coachable."

He hasn't improved really at all in the area that he needs to. His throwing tendencies appear to be completely uncoachable. At least from where I'm sitting. He's way too far along to be making these same freshman mistakes.

Who is "Chatt" and why does the NCAA allow them to play Oklahoma?

we were supposed to play middle tennessee, but the backed out. i guess chattanooga's AD is a friend of our AD, so we gave them 500 grand to come be a patsy at the last minute. They said their entire sports budget is 10 mil, so that's a fair chunk of change.

we pulled the first teamers early in the second quarter

At least there are some extenuating circumstances to explain it.

Do you know why the game is Delayed right now?

Is the fact that it's a replacement game for Middle Tennessee supposed to make it better?

MAC did pretty well for itself this weekend thus far. Ball State and CMU clobbered I-AA patsies, BG beat Pitt, Ohio played well in a loss at Wyoming and NIU is down 4 to Minnesota in the 3rd quarter.

I'm not usually one for MAC pride, but it's good to see my alma mater's conference not be a pushover.

BTW, congratulations Utah for failing to give Michigan the game despite their best efforts for a quarter and a half.

Middle Tennessee is probably better than well over half the opponents of Top 25 teams today.

who cares, we're going to demolish whoever we got in week one, anyway. middle tennessee was a contract game, they bounced and left them with few options, so the ad decided to do his buddy a favor and cut him a check.
