MSU driving late, down 7 at Cal. 27 seconds to go and they're at midfield.

Naturally, they go 4 and out after I type that. Cal holds on.

I just got home from the LA Tech/Miss. St. game. It was a good game all the way. Glad to see Tech pull out the win.

This was an outright slugfest. I'm giving both of them credit; Mizzou for putting the Illini away and Illinois for never backing down.

Illinois could win the Big 10 this year. They won't have to worry much about passing attacks on Mizzou's level from other teams in the Big 10.

i really hope the Penn State defense gets tested before week 4. i don't want 2 more easy defensive games before facing Illinois.

after all the I-L-L posts, it's kinda nice to see them get humbled. not ready to eat at the big boys' table, apparently.

Frankly, I think Mizzou would flatten every other team in the Big Ten with the exception of Ohio State.

That would be a fun game to watch.

yeah, I'm not prepared to talk trash about Illinois until after Penn State plays them. I'm not very confident right now, even with the game at home.

If Juice can play like that for most of this year, Illinois is going to be very good.

Still, this defense needs to play better. Two (hopeful) cupcakes before Penn State.

i don't think anyone has been talking illinois up to be anything other than what they are. this I-L-L stuff is what we do, i have no idea how that constitutes being cocky or needing to be humbled. we got beaten by a better team, period. however, i still think the rest of the big ten is in trouble when it comes to playing the us.

i'm not talking trash, but some illinois fans have gotten pretty cocky about their team. i think they forget that they were horrible 2 years ago. and frankly it seems like they have a lot of punks on their team too, getting up and hopping around after every first down or tackle for a loss.

what, that their quarterback is named j. williams and that they were passing every down due to being behind?

Illinois: 121 Rushing Yards

Juice Williams: 55 Rushing Yards

Illinois needs to incorporate their RB into their offense more. Williams is a good dual threat, but part of the reason why they lost today was because they didn't have a running game to keep their defense off the field.

it's unbelievable that you don't think that happens on every team.

i thought both teams were very well-behaved, tonight.

Damn us for actually being happy that we have a respectable football team now.

And damn those players for celebrating when something good happens. Just makes me sick.
