Fukudome... I dunno everytime i see him not get a hit these past few weeks, it isn't cuz he's not making contact. Is that just me or are other people seeing what I'm seeing?

He should have carried his bat and stopped half way down the line and pretended he had a tommy gun and was firing into the braves dugout.

I was going to suggest cartwheeling down to first, but I guess this works too.

Campillo's stuff is pretty good, IMO. I'm glad we got to him early. The tack on is extra nice.

70 pitches through 4 for Campillo. I second your sentiment about getting to him early.

I saw him pitch in Arizona last friday. Other than a leadoff homerun to Drew, he was pretty unhittable.

he had 25 strikeouts in July, but only 5 so far this month. A lot of them were the ugly spinning strikeouts he does so well, which tend to stick in the mind

Fuku's Ks are down, but his overall approach at the plate has been awful this month.

Didn't he give up like 5 ER?

No hit bid is over. That should end any and all thought of leaving him in for longer than 5 or 6.

I think that's a good thing though. Harden isn't a low pitch per inning guy. I wouldn't put too much pressure on him to try to extend his innings and pitch count.

Hmmmm.

Rich isn't the same Rich tonite. I'm kinda worried.

He is human ya know.

I know.

You won't begrudge me wanting to see Superman in a Cub uniform though, will you?

That's 2 starts in a row. Maybe he is getting too much rest?

Last start was last Tuesday...He's on 7 days rest. Not saying, just saying.
