On March 12/13 the Blackhawks held a team meeting, and the topic of the metting is maintaining "playoff intensity" since then the Blackhawks are 0-4 against Isles/Avs//Devils/BJ. The Blackhawks have been swept since they wanted to maintain "playoff intensity."

 

I know I sound like a broken record, but the Hawks are looking at an epic failure of a season, unless something changes.

At least we are still better than last year.

 

Last year at this point the Hawks were 33-30-7. Now they are 37-22-11. That's 4 more wins, 8 less lossses and 4 more OTL's. Essentially if you could OTL's as regular losses, the Hawks are 4 games better than last years team at this point.

All other things being equal, I'm glad that Columbus is (it appears) going to make the playoffs. It's good for that franchise and their fans, and they are a solid team.

 

That aside, it would also be good for this franchise and its fans to make the playoffs.

 

I'm concerned at this point.

Campbell and Huet were very disappointing. The two biggest free agent signings in a year the team finally spent big on free agents and then improved, and neither has come close to living up to the the contract.

Agreed. If the Hawks miss the playoffs or bow out quietly in the first round, Tallon should be fired.

 

I'm not going to give him credit for firing Savvy/hiring Q because I think that decision was made above him. He's the last high-profile holdover from the dark ages. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he is failing.

 

Put him back in the booth with Foley. They were classic together.
