True. I didn't note the games remaining.

What is really surprising to me is how the Hawks covered up for Campbell's awful defense the first half of the year.

And it's pretty clear now that getting rid of Wiz was a mistake. Pahlsson has had more than enough time now to show something. ANYTHING. And he hasn't. I think he had one hit tonight.

It's a good thing the Blackhawks were absolutely awesome for a decent part of the season, because if we had to win games right now to stay in the playoff race, we'd be in deep trouble.

I think I hate the Habs and their awful fans more than anything in the NHL... even Crosby, the Refs, and the Pens.

They boo EVEYTHING... they have [expletive] ass chants... and they're a bunch of morons. Who honestly riots in the streets (literally riot not the soft serve stuff like at the Sox parade)?

I hate their terrible organization for perfecting diving and embellishment over 100 years, thanks Mr. Rocket.

Luckiest win of the year for any NHL team... they're still awful.

EDIT: They should have gotten 6 minutes on that PP (although I am happy with the 4)... Should have been roughing, diving, instigator EASILY... completely clean hit. Also... how many times is Carey Price allowed to slash and spear our players in front of the net without getting called?

All in all refs were nothing short of despicable.

Despite the final score, I for sure think the refs had a hand in this game... as well as a few lucky bounces for the Habs. The Hawks didn't look bad at all... whatever, such is life.

Long Flight + Customs + 2 tough losses (mentally and physically) + Tough opponent playing for something = another /facepalm game?

I'm concerned about this game because the Blues appear to be the pioneers of figuring out how to beat the Hawks this year. A tenacious 2-1-2 forecheck. That led to the first goal last night because our (supposedly) best defenseman couldn't handle the pressure. Other teams, notably in the last two games, have caught on and are having the same success.

The only reason the Blues weren't blowing out the Hawks earlier in the year was because they couldn't bury the biscuit. They aren't having that problem right now. And needless to say, fellas better keep their heads up when #74 is on the ice. St. Louis is playing really well right now. The Hawks need to jump out to a 2-0 lead in this game. If they fall behind early, the way things are going, it'll be over.

#74 = Oshie, right?

Haha, Rick Nash.

This team has "maybe 2 playoff wins" written all over them. The likelihood of them winning 4 of 7 at this point has to be very low.

At this point I think we could ONLY beat the Flames... so maybe it's better we're slipping a little bit?

I love me some Oshie.

That Oshie-Toews-Duncan line at ND State was killer. Two future captains for their teams and possibly their national teams on the same college line.

Did you not see where Carey Price slashed Kane and Fraser got a penalty? The refs were LOOKING for a retaliation against price for the take-out of Khabi... it never happened but they blew the whistle anyways.

Markov, A. (PPG, 15:52 in 2nd)

There's your result.

There were bad calls, but the Hawks weren't winning that game.

I love how this Oshie kid (who under 6 foot tall) hits Nash who's like 6'4" and the Columbus broadcasters get all bent out of shape about the hit. Hey guys: it was a clean hit and Nash is like 5 inches taller and 25 pounds heavier. STFU

Oh yeah, those C-bus announcers should be ashamed of themselves for their reactions to both hits. And they should be fired for being so stupid.

Regardless of if I know the outcome of this game is likely going to be... I'm still real excited for it. Gotta love Hawks/Blues everytime.

The way the Hawks have been playing physically as of late could really make this game chippier than it normally would!

It'd be nice to play well. I'm afraid for this one because the Blues have played us so well all year and they are playing pretty good lately.

Janssen is very likely to be a healthy scratch. He has been the last several games. But they still have McKee, Hinote and Jackman who are more than willing to mix it up.

I think it will be a chippy game, but I don't expect to see another line brawl. This game is too important for both teams.

Yeah, but they're playing so bad right now. There's bad ref calls all the time, the Hawks are losing because right now they suck. The refs may have made a bad call, but it didn't affect the Hawks winning/losing. They did that all by themselves.

Hawks/Blues games are always a good time. I remember when they used to be really rough and tumble back in the Norris division days with games at Chicago Stadium and St. Louis Arena. (Both on and off the ice.)

Years ago the Hawks and Blues used to do a home/home series the week after Christmas. So one time my buddies and I made the road trip down to St. Louis right after the game here in Chicago. Sometime during the second period a fight broke out not far from the ice between some Blackhawks and Blues fans. The cops escorted them out; but then after they left the guys girlfriends started fighting. Around the same time they stopped play on the ice and went into a faceoff. But the faceoff was held up for about a minute as the players and referees watched the big catfight in the stands. I remember Denis Savard, Brett Hull and Don Koharski all standing together on the ice with biggest grins on their faces.

(Man I miss the old Norris division games. I wish the NHL would have contracted after the lockout so we could go back to playing Detroit, St. Louis and Toronto a lot more.)

Being that I am really excited for this game means the Hawks will lose. EVERY game I've been super stoked for they lose... :(

I wasn't even that excited for the Devils/Sharks wins.

I'm 0-3-2 in games I'm overly excited for.

EDIT:

Oh yea, Matt Walker is playing... I think... no April Fools :(
