Fukusingle. He's back

Starting with the game against Houston on July 20, Kosuke has a line of .317/.429/.537/.966. That's before the single today.

Out of curiosity, why is Kosuke in a virtual platoon? Do think Lou is only giving him starts vs. RHP in order to get his bat going again, or is this something that he's going to be doing the rest of the year? $12 million for a platoon player seems stupid.

.739 OPS vs lhp. if the cubs can get better production against lefties with him on the bench, it would be stupid to keep him in the lineup just because of how much he gets paid, come on dude.

i liked the rapist quote better

Yeah and who are they replace him with in the lineup? Ronny Cedeno and his .689 OPS vs. LHP

I would call it more of frequent days off rather than a platoon. Lou thought that Fukudome was wearing down a little bit. Fukudome is still starting against about half the left-handers.

The Cubs have had a pretty crappy approach since the Brewers series

Stop hacking you idiots

First off, the Brewers series was all of a day and a half ago.

Second, they drew 7 walks yesterday.

Their approach today certainly isn't what I would call horrible, and has gotten good results.

I don't see where the problem is in their approach. They didn't hit the ball well yesterday, but that's a completely different argument.

5-4 by the end of the inning or 5-5?

Possible 6-5 Pirates?

5-1. Maybe 5-2.

Is Howry just to blind or stupid to realize if he mixes in off-speed stuff he will get the hitters off balance ad possibly get more K's if he didnt throw his damn straight fastball for every pitch?
