Zambrano striking out Weeks in the 7th:

Note the misclassified pitch, the crazy release point, and the 58.9 mph speed as it crossed the plate.

They showed the fastball, then this pitch on baseball tonight.

Is that the Manny pitch?

Man, I would have been very happy if we won just 1 of these first 2. To take both against Sabathia and Sheets is just awesome. Statement games for sure.

Exactly, I'd have been ok with a split in this series... losing to CC and Sheets, but now that we've won those... it almost feels like anything less than a 3-1 series win will almost be a let down.

At this point, splitting the series would definitely be a letdown when the pitching matchups are considered. Obviously coming into the series a split probably would have been satisfactory but when you win the first two and have the pitching advantage in the last two games, you have to take at least 3 of 4.

Agreed. I would have taken a split too, but winning the Sheets and Sabathia starts changes things quite a bit.

We need to sweep now. Put our foots on their throats.

And we need to keep the foot there, as opposed to going in the crapper again and erasing the lead

Well breaking your bat over your knee is childish

i don't know many children who can break a bat over their knee.

My best friend did that in third grade. It was pretty impressive.

I guess I could say "the split is still a possibility!" but I don't think there's any chance the Brewers do anything against Harden in the finale.

nobody has done much against harden, but he hasn't won a game yet because either the cubs don't score, or the bullpen implodes. harden is great but he can't go long into games, so really the goal against him has to be work the count and keep the game close.

Based on the last two games, I don't think you guys need to worry about Harden getting a lack of run support (especially against Dave Bush). Do the Brewers really seem to be the type of team that would be patient against Rich Harden and drive up his pitch count?

I agree there's a chance the Brewers can get to him, but after seeing Lilly cruise against them for the most part, can you blame me for not being the most optimistic guy in the world?

Sorry this is late but I had a blast at this game sat just to the left of the press box. Wanted to throw things at Schroeder because he was that close and cant stand him but anyways. It was so hot in there with no breeze...just sitting in your seats watching the game you could just feel the sweat pour out of you. It was worth it though to see Z dominate the Brewers. After the game we stuck around and waited for the place to clear out and got some awesome pictures with the gang. I went over to the WGN booth right under them and was yelling at Len telling him I hope I get to hear some Brickhouse impersonations again when I watch the game. He just laughed and waved at me....gets even better though then I yelled up to Bob and Len and challenged them to a game of Guitar Hero....they got a kick out of that. But overall what a fun 3 hour trip to make the game and watch total domination.
