So does Gordon..... And it's not like Oswalt can't have a good end to the year. He's got a 3.2 ERA or so in his last 8 starts.

i'm sorry, but this trade pisses me off. with two remaining exemptions braun is one of the ten most valuable players in the league. gordon's got fewer points than melvin mora. oswalt's the 83rd best SP in the league.

Why would this trade piss you off? Have you not read the on the block pages lately? I said Braun could be had, so everyone had a chance to make an offer for him, including you.

 

Oswalt hasn't been good most of the year, but I think his down year allows me to keep him for next year rather than having to trade him off in the offseason, like many of you will have to do. Since I missed the heart of the trade deadline activity (on vacation), I think my window to be one of the elite teams going forward also passed. Raisin and Tim are both clearly stronger teams.

I thought the deal I offered for Braun was a better deal to help our Fuzzy for this year. Though, admittedly, I was not giving up any exempt players like Gordon. I thought I had a good deal for King Felix too, which I was going to use to try to turn him into Braun.
