Quentin should have been able to gun down Tejada at that distance. It's not like it was hit deep in the alley or at the warning track. He was able to set up for the throw even.

He probably hates the yankees fans too I wouldn't have attempted a tag either after those god awful fans where booing someone on their "team" tonight because their players are always the best. Not saying Mariano isn't better than Papelbon but papelbon retracted his statements or changed them or whatever and said Mariano should close.

 

I hope they interview papelbon after the game and he says something along the lines of why do the Yankees fans care they aren't making the playoffs this year anyways and I gave up the run ibecause of their chanting! :)

It was average distance. Even a good outfielder throws a player out from there lie what, 5-10% of the time?

 

Quentin is no dog. Kenny Williams got him for practically nothing. He is the best player on a first place team.
