it was only a hat and they were not on the field. :rotfl:

but i don't see any cards/braves fans out on the field attacking the coaches and umps.

Sure, if by "ditched work" they mean "have been on the unemployment line for the past 12 years so we could drink moonshine in our parent's basement and spend our government aid on a bad Joe Crede replica jersey"

 I don't get the constant demeaning of Sox fans. We sound like them, when they call us a bunch of dumb drunks. We need to stop worrying about the Sox, let alone what we think their fans are like. Some of my Sox friends are good people, nothing like what you describe. If you add the word "mullet" anywhere in that sentence, though, and you might have a Cards/Braves fan.

Nah, we get drunk and start fights with the opposing teams bullpen. Much better.

Right, totally acceptable. We can act like trash from the stands, but just as long as we stay off the field. Makes sense to me.

This arguement is silly anyway. Us judging Sox fans based on 2 walking diseased corpses is stupid, just as Sox fans judging us on the Dodger incident. I know some of it is a joke, but it's also carried over into "common knowledge" that Cub fans are like this and Sox fans are like that. It's just stupid and I'm sick of it. Sitting at Wrigley last year just got me tired of the whole thing, and reading stupid posts (especially in the game threads) and hearing my dumbass friends talk the same has me fed up.

/rant.

Onto things more serious...

Mark Mulder looked decent tonight. Only one legit hit (the other was because Duncan plays defense about as well as Patterson), a decent looking strikeout, and a fastball hitting 91-92, vs. a 72 breaking ball. You just know he's going to be in the rotation soon and going Dempster on every one. :banghead:

It makes me happy that the Diamondbacks have finally been exposed.

How bout it. What a steaming pile of crap they are.

Indians score 1 in the first, White Sox counter with 3.

With the rate things are going we might be 2nd in the divison and 2nd in the city soon!

Why are all of our rivals doing awesome at the same time.

It really doesn't matter what the White Sox do.

It really doesn't matter what the Cardinals do either, but people keep freaking out about it. They're going to finish in 3rd.

They also weren't going to be any good this year. Stop doubting them. You'll always be wrong!

They're not. As I said, they'll finish in 3rd. Everyone's freaking out because they're the Cardinals, not because they're a good team.

It's called a joke. Get a sense of humor. There are bad stereotypes about every group of fans and its fun to play around with them. Not every post is as serious as the 7th game of the World Series. Have fun with it.

Troy Percival tries to blow it vs. Red Sox, gets pulled and JP Howell gets the last out. Rays win.

Percival is eventually going to blow up big time for the Rays, he's been putrid lately and lucky he hasn't blown multiple games (including 2 vs. the Cubs). Hopefully they can get someone to fill his shoes and beat out the Red Sox and Yankees for that division.

I can't believe Todd Jones has held up this long, either. He seems like an injury at the buffet line waiting to happen.

i'm glad somebody has a sense of humor in here. \:D/

I've got a sense of humor. Just hard to tell when people use it on the web. Half the time, I think they just use the 'ol "it was a joke" line whenever they get called out, say something wrong/stupid, etc. Not that this particular poster did, but I just can't always tell. That's why people use the 'ol j/k

You're misunderstanding: he could have played for my kids little league team the last 3 years, but as soon as Duncan touches him and he puts on a Cardinals uniform, magic happens. See Kyle Lohse, Todd Wellemeyer, Braden Looper, and any other joke of a pitcher that's doing well for them. It's unreal. Now a guy with "real" talent like Mulder shows up? This has 11-1 1.92 comeback written all over it. Again, to understand this, you must suspend logic, because the the laws of reason and logic do not apply to the Cardinals.

HE PITCHED FOR THE CARDINALS THE LAST 2 YEARS AND WAS TERRIBLE AND HURT.
