I think Marshall steps up tonight and goes deep in the ball game COBS WIN 7-0

I have a similar feeling and I'm not sure why. Either way, it's all on Marshall because I don't think we'll have trouble hitting Buehrle. If he can limit the Sox, we're going to win.

Boy, I really think they'll use the DH rather than let Marshall hit. :D

Does anyone know why Theriot has been sitting the last couple days? Has Lou come to the realization that Cedeno is appreciably better at "catching the damn ball?"

Theriot has a swollen hand near his thumb. He will probably be back today.

Even though it's obvious what you meant, this description is rather funny ;)

The one glimmer of hope for me tonight is that this will obviosly be Marshalls last chance to impress in the majors for a while, so hes going to want to give his all and leave an impression, if not for the sake of making it back to Chicago for the sake of turning some heads in other organizations.

Agreed. Marshall deserves a better shot than he has been given and he will be motivated to show everyone he deserves more innings...I hope.

Crazier things have happened than the Cubs winning tonight, but this will be a tough matchup. We need Reed and Soriano back for LHPs

vs. LHP

Soriano - .377 .403 .787 1.190

Johnson - .319 .414 .458 .872

Edmonds - .148 .179 .296 .475

Cedeno (essentially replacing Soriano as DeRosa moves to LF) - .232 .295 .304 .599
