While we're hammering on j fishbulb, might as well point out that Miguel Montero is not minor league eligible, by my calculations. He should either be placed on his major league squad or dropped. Or are we just going to continue letting him play by his own special rules week after week?

 

This is the same guy who started the year with Jeff Kent on the DL while Jeff Kent was playing 2b everyday for the LA Dodgers. Per Juan, any player placed on the DL prior to the start of the season that doesn't start the season on the DL must be dropped. Jeff Kent was dropped today, 13 or so weeks later.

 

Meanwhile, at least one Roadkill manager (not named BigbadB) was upset that this rule was being violated while that manager was in dire need of a 2b.

 

Shape up or ship out is my opinion. But, yeah I'm still bitter about the Peavy thing, and will likely stay bitter about it as long as this guy continues to skirt the rules.

If I remember Fishbulb was previously booted before the 2006 season for failing to pay the fee and replaced by Vance. Then he was given the team back when Vance seemed to disappear. So this isn't the first time there have been issues with him.

+1. Thats one of the main reasons for the setting the rosters once a week IMO. Do it and be done with it, don't have to worry about it every single day.

if me pointing out that someone has an illegal roster is making the league less fun, i guess i'm sorry. i don't understand how those of us that respond to trades, tend to our rosters, follow the rules, etc are the ones bringing down the league. i would think that non-responsive owners and people that can't follow the rules on a consistent basis would be the ones that juan would get sick of.

 

and while i wasn't too fond of the peavy trade or fishbulb's selective partcipation, most of my posts on the subjects have been in jest.

Again, point out illegal rosters, don't be an ass about it. Obviously, that could have been done without the mention of a magic portal, in jest or not. And why didn't you point out Fishbulb's illegal lineup before the Peavy trade went down? It was illegal then too. Are you policing or bitterly headhunting? well, i certainly didn't intend for that to be a question of his integrity, that's for sure. sorry if it gave that impression. it was more of a knock at fishbulb who apparently doesn't respond to anyone except juan...that's not juan's fault. also, i was joking.

the peavy trade is what prompted me to look at his roster...that's how i noticed it. i don't do a daily check of everyone's roster.

oh come on...i was 100% joking the entire time with that whole thing. if anyone was taking it serious it was brian, who i apparently offended to the core.

 

if my hijinx in the weekly thread are bringing everyone down so much i'll stop...just trying to liven things up a little bit with the occasional troy percival comment (which i had intended to continue with all season and likely into next season). i'll keep it 100% cordial and business-like from now on.
