Of course Joe Crede makes that play

That's why Crede is better than Aramis

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

You would really think Cubs fans would be able to handle the ups and downs of a 162 game season better than this.....

Why? We're usually down, that's easy to deal with. Being up is unusual, and it makes us nervous.

Valid...makes sense. But to me it's more like, "Wow, we're actually pretty good." I'm more relaxed this year and find myself looking at the big picture a lot more.

Not me. I'm more fired up this year than ever. I am pissed even if we're only up by a run or two. I guess I just feel that this is the closest we're ever going to get to having a WS-caliber team, and this is our only chance for another 20 years or so.

Only in the minds of the one White Sox fans. In reality, Crede isn't in the same class as ARam.

I will say this again, the Cubs will win this game.

Edit: I see bc, said it was sacrastic. But the point still stands.

Yes, we will win without Lee, Aramis, and Fukudome showing up.

Good. I'm glad I didn't jump the gun and go off on you then.

I hate the fact that I have lost a lot of faith in this offense over the course of 3 games.

Really, I'm mad at myself...I know it's a completely irrational thought. :banghead:

Its really not. Most of these players have been part of a terrible offensive lineup for more than a couple of years, and I thought it was more irrational to think they'd all become OBP machines for a whole season after decades of not knowing what the acronym meant.

The time to win the WS is that crapshoot in October. I don't think anyone should be very worried about making it there (and it's quite likely we'll have HFA, too), barring major injuries (in which case, our chances would be significantly diminished anyways).

I certainly want to win more games than any team in the National League, but I'm not going to freak when we hit a 4-5 game losing streak (which is almost inevitable over the course of 162 games).

I guess I'm beating a dead horse, though.

Very nice bounce back inning for Ted. Good to see he's still on pace to give us 6+ IP.

It seems like we've had a lot of outings with one bad inning and then the rest goes well. The problem recently is that we haven't made up for it on offense

Why, we don't have any pending FA departures and we're still a young ballclub. If anything we'll be even better next season as our young talent develops and we add a pitcher or two.
