Seriously why the fake rallys two nights in a row. They managed to piss me off both nights when I could have easily accepted both losses.

what is the criteria for 'accepted losses'? is there somehow a cool way of losing i'm not aware of?

No...just when the Cubs are going into the 9th down two, I tend to have time to rationalize that losing isn't the end of the world, and it happens to all teams, etc. But when they start a fake rally in the 9th, I can't help but get myself excited again. And then when we fail, it feels like a second loss.

Okay, so I missed most of the end of the game, including Z's injury... did it look bad? Or was it one of the precautionary removals we've seen many times?

Well it definitely wasn't a cramp. Z seemed like he wanted to pitch through it....but then again Prior probably pitched with a small tear in his shoulder for probably quite awhile.

Ah, okay. I was just worried this might have involved Z falling to the ground in pain. Granted, it could still be serious, but at least there's reason for hope.

Is there any word at all on how serious it might be?

I love how Yost brings Torres in to pitch the 8th AND 9th nearly every time because he has no other bullpen. Baseball Gods gonna make you pay for that one eventually, Ned.

No, and I doubt there will be any word until tomorrow.

Awesome sig. I'm tempted to steal that.

Please do -- I did (from another board). We all need to visualize Rose in a Bulls uni and then maybe it'll actually happen. :D

These last two games sucked - I hate last inning, last out heartbreak. :( Oh well.... at least the Royals are doing their part to hold down the Redbirds.

all new posters should have to read pages 12-14

Quite funny to see the Z melts down cause of bad defense being brought out after he recently calmly got about 8 outs in an inning(was that the 130 pitch game?) because the defense was so terrible.
