walker is a junior, but tucker and koshwal are sophs. depaul could be very good next year. i'd imagine that they're reticent to let wainwright go due to this fact.

 

i listen to the wainwright show every now and then and people are always calling him and questioning him on his recruiting, but his recruiting doesn't seem to be an issue, he's got the horses. he also seems like a genuinely nice and down-to-earth guy, i hope they get better.

 

let me add that if bruce weber were coaching that team, they'd be in the top half of the big east--with those guards alone.

 

there's no excuse for tucker and walker to be averaging 3 assists between them.

They beat UConn, Memphis, Villanova, Syracuse, Providence, and Maryland. I think schizophrenic is more appropriate than "not very good."

Iowa State's season ends with a loss that looked like a lot of their losses this year. Close for a while, but once the other team decides to double team Brackins the offense is gone. I really hope he comes back next year, but I think it's about 50-50 right now. I think McDermott needs to show some progress next year (or somehow sign Barnes), or he could be gone. Right now his offense isn't working at all, and if next years recruits can't make it work I don't know if it ever will.

Mostly willing to give him a break because he had sanctions on the team his first year and the team has had about a dozen players leave early/transfer/get kicked out/quit since the end of the 05-06 season. I think he did a great job his first year getting Wesley Johnson and Mike Taylor and going 6-10. Since then, though, there hasn't been much progress, and people are getting impatient. The defense is good, but offense is terrible for a major conference team, and it doesn't seem like in game adjustments are being made. His perception would probably be fine if they beat a good team once in a while, but they really don't have any big wins in his three years. Poor offensive teams that don't win aren't very popular. The attendance hasn't dropped to the levels Iowa's has recently, but it is going down. He's fine for now, but if there isn't anything in the next year or two there will be some pressure to make a change.

Syracuse and Seton Hall was close until the Pirates decided they didn't like playing defense. 32 points for Syracuse in less than 9 minutes. Most of them coming when Seton Hall just didn't run back on defense.

 

Eric Devendorf is a damn clown. As is Onuaku. For the reputation he has, Boeheim brings in a lot of idiots.

A&M and Texas Tech are tied after A&M had a 22 point lead in the second half. Mike Singletary is putting on a show for TTU. 41 points, 33 of which have been in the second half.

 

The rest of his team has combined for 2 points this half and A&M is pretty much playing him straight up.

He was at the first Duke-UNC game and supposedly had a great time. I am keeping my fingers crossed
