About 45 chances and you don't take one 3-point shot and then Shipp clangs the front end of a 1-and-1? Awful awful awful.

Awful way to lose a game with multiple chances to tie it and a lead with 3 minutes left, but I didn't think they'd even keep it this close so I guess I should be happy.

I thought Texas was going to blow playing as bad as the did the first 15 minutes of the second half. Collison was real good, Abrams was just a little better.

Collison was too tired at the end (see that missed dunk?), he and Shipp can't do it all. No inside presence and Holiday had was ineffective (and trying to pass too much...again).

Abrams was a beast, Westbrook just shut him down last year and this year he could do whatever he wanted against Collison and Holiday.

Oh, and this is a basketball game, quit talking about Texas and the BCS, ESPN.

A.J. Abrams has one of the quickest releases I've ever seen on the college level.

I wonder if he's the next Shawn Respert or the next Ray Allen in the NBA.

UCLA not looking that strong so far this season

This is a team with 5 freshmen (1 starter), 2 new starters up front (Aboya and Keefe) and a weak frontcourt. They'll have clunkers along the way. I was pretty pleased with only losing by 4 points to a top 10 team on the road. But I think I have far different expectations than the national media.

With a bunch of patsies at home (plus DePaul) in December, I hope Malcolm Lee and Drew Gordon can get established in the rotation before conference play. Need more than just Jrue to contribue from the freshmen for this team to go far in March.

Raisin-- Is Bobo not gonna be an impact frosh?

Doesn't look like it. Stamina-wise, he makes Kevin Love look like a marathon runner and he's completely lost on defense (not the way to earn playing time under Howland). He'll probably get 5-10 mins for his offense but anything more than that is unlikely since he's such a liability on defense.

I didnt mean that they weren't a good team...I'm sure they'll be a very good team still just not top 4 in the nation like at the start of the season

Oh definitely not, I could have told you that at the start of the season. :) I guess they were overrated due to the past 3 years, returning Collison and having the top freshman class in the nation.

Yeah...Think the same thing applies for Mich ST starting at 6th. You guys are still one of the best 10 teams in the nation I'd say though

If UCLA right now is still one of the top 10 teams in the nation, that says a lot about the state of the top tier of teams in college basketball. I can't say one way or another since I haven't paid much attention to most of the top teams outside of UNC, Duke and Texas. The top does seem weaker than previous seasons.

Demetri proving he has no ball handling skills and is just a catch a shoot guy.

Yeah that was pretty hillarious that night. Maybe that guy should watch us play before making that type of statement.
