There is no way Kazmir no hits us alone with his pitch count.

I'm basing this entirely on speculation, but Joe Maddon seems like the type of manager that would keep him out there for as long as possible.

Its the goggles.

I don't think we're going to get a hit tonight.

Good thing Kazmir will have to go about 200 pitches to throw a no hitter.

Man Kazmir is awesome.

HES STILL PITCHING A NO HITTER!

Wow just think we might see a no hitter tonight, because thats what Kazmir is doing. He's pitching a no hitter. This means that he has not allowed a single hit. Not a single Cubs hitter has made contact with the ball and sent the ball to an unoccupied space that resulted in that hitter reaching first base safely.

and you are back to your normal pessimism

It's called a jinx.

When it's a great pitching matchup, can it be OUR guys that prevail for once? Today and the game with Zambrano vs. Hudson (we still won, but barely).

I'm... going to come back later to check up on the situation... This is a bit disheartening to see... Not that we haven't seen a game like this before, but yea.

Um how about Oswalt vs Marquis and Halladay vs Marquis?

Have the odds ever been more heavily against us than in those 2 games?

no, but it'd be better if someone got a hit so the Rays' manager isn't tempted to leave him in longer than he normally would.

Its all Lous strategy. Let him no hit us into the 8th, meanwhile Dempster will shut the Rays down. In the 8th, we'll scratch out a bloop single, thus taking the no no away so late in the game, that Kazmir implodes.

Actually, Lou has money on the game and has promised to share the winnings with all of the Cubs if they get no hit. Its obvious, since Lou used to manage TB.
