Idiot me forgot to activate Maddux for tonight's start, so I'll be short on pitching starts. Not that it's likely to make the difference for me this week anyway.

I'm leaving the country tonight and will be gone all next week with spotty Internet at best. I have a friend looking over my team with instructions so that should be ok but I thought I'd give you guys a warning that I likely won't read anything in here or respond to trade talks for 10 days.

In hindsight, I wish I had benched my entire pitching staff this week. Well, I wouldn't need to bench Trevor Hoffman since the Padres never have the lead late in the game.

Definitely a fair offer, but I'm looking for more of a #1 pitcher at this point... If things change, I'll let you know.

Rule question

 

1) I almost switched Rogers for Contreras since I need a 7th start. But, I cannot pick upa FA starter and just put him in my rotation during the middle of the week.

 

2) But then I remembered that the reason I don't have a 7th start is that Beckett had his next start moved to next week due to health concerns. So technically I am using Rogers to replace Beckett's start and since he was benched due to health concerns, I can replace him mid-week with a FA.

 

3) If my interpretation of the rules is off and effects the outcome of the game, please delete Roger's points

Smart Ass! :) I didn't have to give him up to get another potential #1 SP. I did give up a 2nd round pick and a great prospect, but I'm hoping that I'll have enough huge players to trade at the end of the year to re-establish my draft picks and my minor leagues. BTW.. I'll still trade Cano if anyone wants him! :)

I think I was basically drunk by the time he made the offer. It was my first night w/o the girlfriend for about 2 weeks, so I started drinking early. I laughed at the offer he made you! I was actually shocked DJ gave up Young for him. I didn't figure he'd get much for Posada.

great week for me...huge point total and an improbable come from behind win. neither team deserved to lose, that's for sure. and HBC's last second loss helped me out, as did nccub's.

 

don't count the dynasty out just yet!

Yeah, Young had basically become my 6th OF. I have Sizemore, Hart, Guillen, and Ordonez starting and Victorino ahead of him on the bench. Also, figured I'd be ok with Brandon Jones and Chase Headley on my minor league roster, but starting off well in the majors.
