wood has taken marmol's nastiness

I wish Kerry could keep his shoulder together. It is a shame this guy is not a starter right now. Oh well, I'll take him as a closer doing what he did tonight.

In bizarro world, Carlos Zambrano falls apart horribly, but Jason Marquis is there to pick up the pieces.

In all seriousness, its nice to see a winning road series with little to no production from Lee, Ramirez, and Soto, the keys to our early season success. Needless to say, Id much rather see them produce and not have to bite my nails to the bone.

Do the Cubs have the nastiest back end of a bullpen in all of baseball? I'm talking in terms of ability to miss bats and just blow batters away.

does lou owe an apology to the reporter asked him if he considered removing soriano in the 9th innings of game, no that lou seems to take soriano out of every game?

Probably. From what I've seen, Lou has taken him out when the pitcher and Soriano both bat in the 8th inning. If they don't, he stays in.

Good winning road trip by the Cubs. Now let's go take 2 out of 3 from the Braves before the interleague games.

Yes. yes we do. While Wood may not be the best closer in the game, the 1-2 combination is the best there is.

Guess this closer thing is working out okay for Woody!

We've got quite a nice 1-2 punch in the bullpen.

Nice split to what's always a difficult trip out to the West Coast.

Go Cubs!

With interleague coming, and our opponents doing much better than they're supposed to, were gonne need all 3 of those bad boys.

Wood hitting the uppers 90's with that gas. I gotta say that Marmol and Wood are the best 1-2 punch in all of Baseball.

A pretty good trip to the West coast. We left 2.5 up and 15 over, and we come home 2.5 up and 16 over.

I'll take it.
