Does Lee have 11 GIDP or 12? B-R had him at 11 coming into tonight, unless they are updating live now.

SD announcer said 12 FWIW

The only thing about Lee is that his OBP is about 30-40 points less than I was expecting, but maybe I was expecting too much?

He's playing right where Baseball Prospectus has projected him I believe

25-2 when scoring 6 or more runs. That is impressive. That means that when our hitters do their job, the pitchers make sure they do theirs as well.

what's most impressive is that the cubs have scored 6 or more runs in nearly half of their games. i wonder if the '06 cubs had 27 games of 6+ runs all year.

I know wins for a pitcher don't matter, but I really want Z to start the ASG. The more wins he has, the better his chances.

Yeah I was going to say that too, but I didn't wanna double post. It is very nice to see Fuku stealing bases.

I wish somebody would ask Lou about the 2 lefties in a row. Very curious after some of the other things they've said about lineup construction this year.

CUBS are 34-19 when they draw at least 2 walks.... 2-2 when they don't

Go CUBS !!

The best part about this stat is not just the record, but the number of times. Only 4 games with <2 walks!

How can that be if wins don't matter?

You know what, I'm willing to say Edmonds has something left in the tank.

Another bizarro good move by Hendry? Possibly. Still too early to tell.

I approve of Jim Edmonds on the Chicago Cubs, he has turned the corner, and I enjoy his presence in the lineup as long as he continues to contribute.
