2/2 w/ 2 BB and an RBI tonight so far.

I wonder if we will ever know what it is like to have a prospect as good as Bruce with his plate discipline at such a young age.

That plate discipline will be fleeting under Dusty. Enjoy it while it lasts, because Dusty doesn't like base cloggers.

The Dusty-Corey love is inexplicably frustrating. Corey couldn't get the time of day from Dusty and had his career derailed during his key developmental years, and now that he's a never-was vet, Dusty is suddenly showing him the support he wouldn't when he was younger, even though there's no reason to expect anything more from him than when he made his debut at 21.

While by no means old, Geo is 4 years older than Bruce.

I can't see Hatteberg being free for very long. Somebody will sign him tomorrow.

He'd be a good fit for the Rangers, but they may not be interested considering they aren't in contention.

After the Cobs trade Lee and move Soriano to first, they could sign Hatteberg to play left.

The Rangers are only 4 games behind the Angels.

Then they may have more interest than I originally thought.

And Patterson's OPS+ is 52. While that's not great by any means, it is 62 points higher than Edmonds.

It's possible to have a negative ops+? Huh

Going into today's game it was -10. I expect it to be lower when things get updated.

Yikes! It's time to cut bait.

If Ward is as badly hurt as it sounds, Hatteberg would be a nice replacement. Just cut Edmonds. When Ward gets back you can always send Hoff down.

Does he hit left handed?
