ARam singles up the middle to start the inning. Then FUKU does the same before I can finish posting what ARam did. And then Soto singles to right (my bad...left) on the first pitch before I can finish typing what Soto did. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 run in. Derosa batting. Edited by AFCubsFan

I just seems that there is one guy every year that takes a lot of undeserved crap. I know the historical numbers for Theriot, but its hard to complain with what he has done this year. I'd be thrilled if Cedeno could do what he has done so far. Play whoever is producing, so far Theriot has done nothing to lose his job.

Stupid Wrigley crowd.

what happened?

Everyone stood up and went "ahhh" on a routine flyball.

Routine flyball? I'd call it a hard hit liner to right.

It was far from hard hit, but call it whatever you want, I don't like arguing opinions, especially with Mizzou fans.

I could understand why, as a Saluki, you wouldn't want to argue with a Mizzou fan.

Because you are smarter than I am? OMG LOLZ

Are we sure that this is actually Peavy pitching and he didn't actually pitch last night with Estes going tonight?

DeRosa has really been a black hole lately.

He's actually been a bit better recently, but not tonight

Yeah, he was really struggling vs Cincy and St. Louis. He's getting better now.

Can someone clarify a baseball rule for me?

I thought a wild pitch/passed ball strike 3 is an automatic out if there's someone at first.

Ted Lilly was batting in the 2nd with Reed Johnson at first. Why was he allowed to run to 1st?

With two outs you can reach on a dropped K

I think that doesn't apply with 2 outs.

Because it doesn't matter if first base is occupied when there are two outs.

I'll admit it, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop with Theriot, but it hasn't happened yet. If he can continue posting an OPS over .700 and keep that OPS+ above 100, I won't complain about him continuing to play.
