Wrigley's crowds tend to flip out even over pop-ups. Granted, this was better hit, but if the ball is in the air, especially in a situation like that, tons of people react like it's long gone.

 

In all fairness it always seems like every fly ball has a chance off the bat in the upper deck if you don't learn to watch the outfielder
