3 doubles in the inning! Thats the Cubs I like to see. Not the ones from yeasterday and probaby tomorrow.

Thank God that before I start enjoying myself during a Cubs game, you are there to bring me back to earth.

Its all about the pattern.

It's a proven fact that Japanese born baseball players can only be compared to other Japanese born baseball players.

I agree that it does seem silly most of the time when they compare him to Ichiro or something, but to not see the similarity between his swing and Hideki's is crazy.

Yeah, that was pretty interesting. It's just that it seems EVERY non-cubs telecast I watch compares him to some other Japanese guy.

Just watch, tomorrow night Joe Morgan will probably reference that Fukudome's taste in women is similar to Hideo Nomo.

fukudome's porno collection is a far cry from that of hideki matsui, though.

yay!. Let's get a couple more and let Gallagher finish it out.

Noway you gotta let him get settled in for a couple days before he can be used.

So I graduated college today, my mom leaves to go back home and I turn the game on and we're winning while Joe Buck discusses two players I don't know of named Koss-kay Fukudome and Nate Mc-Looth. Fun times.

The Cubs have a strange ability to be the kryptonite to Cardinal pixie dust-infected pitchers.

Are we sure that Johnson is capable of hitting a home-run yet?

*remembers Kendall last year*

nevermind.

You ever see the dateline special where they go into hotel rooms with a black light? You could spot spot Hideki's collection from outer space.

Say what you will about the Cards lineup, but it kind of reminds me of the 2003 Cubs lineup before we got Ramirez. you had a bunch of mediocre hitters surounding Sosa and Alou. Luckily, the Cards dont have the pitching staff we had.

Yeah, you know. Like we did with Chad Fox.

I didn't see that, but I guess they're right.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...

Fox is a crafty Vet, the kids have to watch a little before playing.

Isn't that what your name used to be? play pie or something?

yes

maybe at this point you should change it back to play pie

Maybe you didn't get the memo, but Johnson "brings energy" to the team. Plus he chokes up a lot on the bat.

Come on now Felix will play when we face another great righty. I bet he gets the start against Cueto and Harrang.

things Im sick of hearing about regarding the Cards:

Rick Ankiels Cinderella story

Ryan Ludwicks long trek through the minors

Bartons nuclear whatever background.

edited to add Chris Duncans the son of Cards pitching coach Dave Duncan.
