Stupid Trade Offers Thread

BigbadB, if you read this thread, this was in the league of former cubs.com posters you were in a few years ago, and you can probably guess who'd make such an offer. :D

I know exactly who you are referring to. He's why I'm not in that league anymore. I was never bashful in calling that dude an idiot.

I was offered Ryan Howard, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Denard Span, and Ty Wigginton for Ryan Braun, Rich Harden, and Corey Hart.

 

Braun > Howard

Harden > Matsuzaka

Hart > Span

 

Did he really think Ty Wigginton was enough to cover all of those gaps?

 

Mind you, this is a 7 keeper league... so it'd be nailing me next year as well.

I had a choice of Garza, Duke, and Edwin Jackson as the pitchers to get back in a deal and chose Garza. You guys think I did the right thing? Jackson is playing awesome, but I just don't trust him based on his past. Same with Duke.

I like Jackson. He was once one of the top prospects in baseball and, although he appeared to be a big bust, he finally started putting it together last year. Since he pitched well last year I have more confidence in him than I would if he just started pitching good this year.

Some guy in my league dropped Justin Upton in the middle of April when he was OPSing .500, then offered me Fukudome and a closer for Upton a few weeks later.

Someone offered me Kurt Suzuki for Evan Longoria straight up.

 

I had to read the offer like 4 times before I was sure that I wasn't missing any players.
