Speaking of which, whither John Rodriguez?

Going commando, I presume.

I tried sarcastically texting my boss asking what the score was when it was 8-3 after she had texted me earlier that the Cards lead 2-0. Pays to have a crappy phone whose texts don't always work boys and girls.

Brewers Win, and, despite playing pretty crappy for the first month, are still right in the hunt. Somehow, come September, ESPN might not get to use their "hilarious" NL "Comedy" Central gag.

As much as I hate to say it, the Cards could get all their arms back at one time and make it a real 3 horse race to the line.

I still really doubt that the pitching and offense will keep playing this well.

I do too, and I just hope we're not still saying this in early August.

The Cards only have one good pitcher coming back and that is Chris Carpenter. Mark Mulder was sucking before the injury. And even then, it will prolly take Carpenter half the season, when he does return, before he bcomes the Chris Carpenter that was feared. Or maybe that Carp won't return till next yr. Clement, I love the guy, I don't see him giving the Cards anything much this yr. And there isn't anybody else that on the Cards DL that would make the impact to make this a "3 horse race."

Jose Valverde blows another save, albeit trying to get the final out of the 8th with men at the corners and only 1 away. Couldn't happen to a nicer psychopath.

His crazy eyes still haunt me.
