I got an error when I tried to post this earlier, so sorry if this is a double post.

Good to get the win, but I think the Cubs deserve downgraded to the Cobs in the next game thread for this crap.

I have to say, after watching that disaster of a game today, I'm not too upset they have an off-day tomorrow.

A good 50 hours until the next reliever has to throw.

Marmol's arm is rejoicing.

Wild throw or botched pickup?

Loved the walks, nice to get the win after blowing the huge lead.

I have done my share of Theriot bashing but he was very good 2day....got on base in 2 crucial situations and stole 2nd twice....granted it was off the bench where he is best suited, but nice job today

Lee, Kosuke, and Soto had nice games too...and of course Ronny had 1 huge hit

just glad we won this mf'er

This was like a more long and drawn out version of the Howry debacle/Sori euphoria of last year against the Rox.

I think that's my very favorite part of Dusty being gone. Walks are no longer taboo. I doubt the Cubs would have won today if Dusty was managing.

Kosuke Fukudome reached five times and stole his second base Monday as the Cubs defeated the Pirates 10-8 in 12 innings.

The Cubs let the Pirates come all of the way back to tie it after taking a 7-0 lead in the third, and they probably should have lost it in the ninth. After Ryan Doumit doubled and pinch-runner Brian Bixler advanced to third on a groundout, Jose Bautista dropped down a squeeze attempt. However, Bixler declined to take off from third, and first baseman Derrek Lee was able to tag Bautista for the second out. Luis Rivas then grounded out to end the threat, and the score remained 8-8 until the Cubs scored twice without the benefit of a hit in the 12th. Fukudome finished 3-for-5 with two walks. He's batting .458/.581/.708, so he's well on his way to the best debut month any Japanese player has had in MLB.

Fukudome is my hero

Hard game to watch, but these type of games is what help bonds teammates. I hate to say it, but this game was a character testing game for the Cubs. Blowing the 7 run lead, only to have the fortitude to not throw the game away, and win the game in extras, shows me ALOT about the character of this team.
