Fuld's shadow looks like the Jumpman symbol.

LOL, unfortunately when you look a little to the left the fantasy is ruined 8-)

I think Fuld's at bat with the bases loaded and two out in the eighth was almost as bad. He took two called strikes that weren't horrible calls.

Maybe it'll be more of a tallest midget competition for our CF job.

Sam Fuld would have ran so fast a cloud of dust would have appeard -- blocking out the sun. Then, with teeth clinched and a grimace on his face, Fuld would will the ball into his glove while ripping a hole in the knee of his grass stained pants.

...with lightning bolts shooting out of his ass, no less. Can't forget about the lightning bolts.

Heh. I just watched Braveheart today.

Judging from the shadow and the reflection of the sun in his shades, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that baseball + disc of sun took the same spot on Felix's retina for a few moments.

Why can't you just over-react like everyone else?

Nobody is overreacting. Everyone is just joking around. Unclench.

As opposed to my reply? How can you tell? No one used a smilie.

The Cubs have had a variety of injuries this spring. So far, infielder Mark DeRosa was hospitalized with an irregular heartbeat, pitcher Jose Ascanio had a bruised face after getting punched in a robbery attempt, and outfielder Felix Pie missed a couple of days early because of a twisted testicle. Third baseman Aramis Ramirez remains sidelined with a sore right shoulder.

Seriously, ONLY the Cubs.

Pie is quietly having a pretty nice spring (in all of 4 games, granted)...

.275/.385/.909

3/11 4 R 2 BB 3 K 2 HR 1 2B

It's not much and means just about nothing, but I'm glad to see him doing well early to hopefully put the Fuld stuff to rest quickly.

And yes, that's a .909 SLG, not OPS.

Maybe it was that visit to the nudie bar which lead to the twisted testicle...

Yeah, except the first person to bring it up in the thread:

Pie apparently had a "twisted testicle" earlier in camp.

Guess now we know why he was making all those faces...
