Not a joke, per se, but Dusty is trying to assemble a similar team to the 2003 Cubs. I will laugh hysterically if they give Sammy a chance.

Sosa would hit alot of HR in that ballpark vs NL Central pitching, I would think. I doubt anyone signs Sosa at his asking price, though.

Minor league contract with an invite to spring training

*Waits for more jokes*

I thought that was the joke.

With Hatteberg and now Wilson, Dusty's just making sure he never has to play Votto. Can't trust the game to the kids, dude.

"We're in the winning business, not the development business."

Wow I can definitely imagine Dusty saying this and Hendry supporting him.

That must be why it's so believable. I thought it was you making up a realistic dusty quote.

Just wait until he hits Adam Dunn seventh so he doesn't clog the bases.

OH MY GOD. SHUT UP.

It's not funny at all. Jesus Chrst I know everything Dusty did, I know all the quotes, I know what to expect, and on and on and on and on.

You just keep posting the same stupid ass [expletive] over and over and over again.

Maybe you shouldn't be posting/reading a Cubs board if you don't want to hear about how horrible of a manager he is?

I can't wait until Hatteberg gets 2/3 of the AB at first, Craig Wilson takes time away as well, Ryan Freel hits lead-off while playing CF, Bailey routinely throws 115-120 pitches per game, and Dunn hits sixth or lower. It's going to be great, because that's the stuff Dusty does.

All the while he'll flip that little toothpick around and grin like a lizard.

BTW, does Lenny Harris have a job?

I think you need to take a breather bud. You arent going to hear good things about Bakers dumbass on a Cubs board so either you need to learn to ignore it, or move on.

Did the Cubs have 4 top 50 prospects when Dusty was there?

Or did he just not play Ronny Cedeno?

Yea you are right, we had nobody in our system better than Nefie Perez, Jose Macias, Rey Sanchez, etc.... Dusty has a veteran fetish and everybody in baseball knows it, all Cubs fans know it, and all Giants fans know it. Soon all Reds fans will know it.

Dusty hit Lenny Harris lead-off! Lenny Freaking Harris!

And Jose Macias, and Neifi Perez, etc.... OBP to Dusty is an old rap song by Naughty by Nature

Do you think the Cubs signed Chad Fox to that minor league deal just as a courtesy to prevent Dusty from getting his paws on him?

:-" Most likely.

In 2002 the Cubs had 5 of the Top 50, 7 of the Top 80.

Dag nabbit, beat me to it.
