most overrated corner in the NFL

I won't say that, because Nate Clement takes that title, especially after the contract he signed. And I believe Ashanti Samuels is also a strong candidate (Jerry Reese of the Giants, firmly believes that Ashanti is a "product of the system").

But I will say...Hall is a grossly underachieving CB in the NFL.

Is he?

In his first three years in the NFL (ages 21-23) he's picked off 12 passes and scored 3 defensive TDs. He's had half a sack and recovered three fumbles.

Champ Bailey (easily one of, if not the, top corners in the league) in his first three years (also ages 21-23) he picked off 13 passes and scored 1 defensive TD. He had 1 sack and didn't recover a fumble.

Those stats are extremely similar. Hall is still just about to turn 25, so he's really just hitting his prime (for a CB). I'd love to have him on the Titans.

EDIT: bolded for clarification

I didn't say I believe Jerry Reese, I just saying what he said. And to a certain degree I do believe Samuels will be overrated in 2008. He's prolly better then Clement, but that doesn't mean, I would offer him to same contract.

Crap, I think you misunderstood me. I meant to argue about Hall. I'm not up to defending Patriots. :D

And those are Hall's stats in comparison to Bailey, by the way.

I understood what you're saying, I really do, but given the contract he'll likely ask for, I just don't think he's worth it. I am biased because my Bears locked up two pretty good CBs for decent amount of money.

And why would you want to replace one troublemaker (Jones) with another troublemaker (Hall)?

At this point, you might as well put Jeff Fisher at CB.

Zach Thomas has signed with the Cowboys.

Awesome signing, I love his veteran presence and his leadership being on our defense. I also love his heart and intensity for the game.

As if Zach leaving wasn't bad enough, he had to sign with the freaking Cowboys. :(

You take our coaches, and won't trade us the 1st overall pick, so that we can take Darren McFadden, we take your players with little left in the tank.

There's a reason why Bill Parcell's released Zach. He might be a good fit for Dallas, but I don't see him making too much of an impact, seeing as I believe Tony Romo will go ALL Rex Grossman on the Cowboys next yr.

Take that Cowboys fan....

It's just a rumor, but I've heard the Cowboys are interested in trading for Hall. The proposed offer is Dallas gives up: pick 22 in 1st round,it’s 4th rounder (122nd),Anthony Henry, andAkin Ayodele. The Falcons send Hall along with 2 second round picks (37 &48).

Interesting... :-k

He'll definitely cost a ton of money, but for a guy just about to turn 25 who's comparable to one of the greatest (possibly) of all time - Champ Bailey - at the same age, I'd be ok with paying the fee.

And he's not close to the troublemaker Pacman is. Pacman likes to make it rain at strip clubs, Hall (from what I know) just whines and occasionally acts stupid on the field. Fisher's a good disciplinarian and - like he did with Haynesworth - I think he could get Hall to behave.

I'm not advocating the Titans trade for him, by the way, as I don't think we have a need. Just saying I wouldn't mind if he fell in our laps.

I follow Hall and the Falcons in the south, and while he does have friends on the team(including Vick), the feeling I get is that there are alot of people associated with the org, who wants him gone (ie, Keith Brooking, Blank, etc)

I think Hall is destined for the Oakland Raiders, to be honest.

His attitude may end up being a major detriment, but talent wise and production wise he's terrific.

Ultimately, Football, especially PRO Football, is a business, and you have to act like a professional. Something Hall hasn't a clue in. Talent alone, yeah, 29 NFL teams would have him, but talent should not absolve him on his stupidity.

But, pro football is not fair, because guys with more talent are given more chances. DeAngelo Hall is extremely talented and very productive, so more teams will be willing to put up with a bad attitude than they would with a Brandon Stokely, etc.

And too, I've seen nothing from Hall that isn't correctable. He's a whiner and sometimes acts stupid on the field - things a good disciplinarian coach with a stable franchise can fix. He's quite reminiscint of Albert Haynesworth in fact - and big Albert is improving thanks to Jeff Fisher's influence.

If Hall's transgressions were more like Pacman's, then I'd be more worried.

McFadden unofficially ran a 4.27 forty at the combine.

Derwood will also appreciate that the announcers have been talking up Anthony Morelli quite a bit. They commented about his stupid decisions, but seemed thrilled with his physical tools.

Beast. Where are you geting combine info?

They're televising it on NFL Network. Don't know where on the internet you could find it though. Maybe nfl.com?

I see McFadden is officially 6'1 1/4", 211 from looking at a video there. Still haven't seen results yet, though.

Somebody who's watching it told me.

You can go here to get official stats, but only for the top scorers. Some of the players are mysteriously miscategorized, though. (ex: KU OL Anthony Collins is a DE there for some reason.)

I'm really interested to see how Felix Jones does. This could send his stock soaring, given a standout performance today. How did Mendenhall do? Have they said?
