Seriously, just what this board needed another total and complete homer of the SEC. Man you need to get out and watch something else sometime. And lastly,HIS NAME IS MENDENHALL, and hes better than Felix Jonas

You guys wouldn't care about him saying Meddenhall if he didn't play for U of I.

But I guess that's how it works. I get annoyed when people say Chase Daniels. ;)

Acutally its more the fact that its just dumb, and makes no sense. The Daniels thing at least makes sense, since most peoples last name is Daniels, not Daniel. But Meddenhall? Seriously?

Seattle signed Julius Jones to a 4 year deal. The same team that signed TJ Duckett. John Clayton says this means that Shaun Alexander will be released, likely in the next week or two, because if he's traded it costs Seattle an extra $150k.

I know he's getting older, and hasn't been as productive the last couple of years, but would he be worth taking a risk on?

I'd go for it as long as it wasn't too expensive and only for a short length.

This is totally fabricated.

I don't think so. And it's not a big deal. But if he kept saying "Colt Brannan" instead of "Colt Brennan," I don't think people would care enough to correct him more than once.

No, it's irritating because he's responding to quotes that have Mendenhall spelled correctly. How do you misspell it?

BTW, Jake Daniels is great!

Is the correct spelling of Mendenhall's name that important? Can we discuss the Chicago Bears' offseason instead? Thanks.

Sorry, Raisin! Has Archuleta been released yet?

In our defense, the last Illinois RB to have a decent NFL career was Howard Griffith; before that it was Red Grange.

I like the Lloyd signing, and I look forward to at least one more FA acquisition before the draft.

JA can't be done out there.

Ok, enough of the whole "Big Ten .v. SEC" battle, because there is no comparasion......

ANYHOO......back on topic, I would fully support the Bears doing one of three things:

1: Trading the pick. The 49ers and the Cowboys seem like Naturally FITS. I am do not fully understand, nor care to understand formula that surrrounds the value of the draft picks via trades, but something like: Cowboys #22 pick and #59 pick for the Bears for the #14 and 75th picks would be an ideal trade, IMO for both teams. (Essentially a 1st/2nd rd pick for a 1st and a 3rd pick, and seeing as the Cowboys would be moving up in both the 1st and 3rd rds, I would say they include a 4th or 5th rd pick).

2: Taking either an OL or a DB. My choices would be either Sam Baker for OL or Kenny Phillips for S. But if Malcolm Kelly happens to slip to the 14th pick (and past Buffalo), I wouldn't mind seeing the Bears take Kelly.

3: The ONLY players I want the Bears to draft from the Big Easy, I mean the Big 10 are: LBers or OL, period.

Lets actually get back to the Bears instead of spamming this thread with mindless, incoherent posts.

That being said, I have nothing of importance to say.

Agreed. I lost my head for a few posts, but I am trying to get away from "That debate of better conference" back into what the Bears should do.
