I want the Patriots to win

I think I probably do too.

But I haven't decided what would be cooler to see. A team go completely undefeated, or a team go 18-0, only to lose the Superbowl. It would be nice if Belichick lost with 2 weeks preparation, because apparantly, that's not possible.

But yeah, NE will win this game. Probably handily.

I'm one of the now 7 insane people. I'm thinking that the Patriots will be under more pressure than almost any Super Bowl team ever, while the Giants have already far exceeded expectations just by making the Super Bowl and can therefore play relaxed with no pressure on them whatsoever. This reminds me somewhat of the Super Bowl two years ago when the Seahawks were expected to win because they were the best team in the NFC, while the Steelers were a surprise just to mae it to the Super Bowl after barely making the playoffs as the last seed. Yet the Steelers won it, and I think that the Giants can this year in a similar situation.

The Patriots were also under a lot of pressure in week 17 against the Giants, and the last two weeks in the playoffs. they won all those games. they've now been to the super bowl 4 times in the last 7 seasons. i'm pretty sure that "pressure" will have absolutely no effect on how the patriots play in the super bowl.

by the way, your recollection of super bowl XL is incorrect. the steelers were favored by about 4 points in that game, with people assuming that by winning road games against the top three seeds in the stronger conference, the steelers were the better team.

The Ravens showed that the Pats are vulnerable to a power running game, and the Giants have a real good power runner in Brandon Jacobs. I think the NY offense can do enough damage to keep the game respectable but I wouldn't pick them to win. I'll take them on points though.

The poll would be more interesting if there were options for the spread. Should be

1)Patriots win

2)Giants win

3)Giants beat spread

4)Giants fail to beat spread

I want the Patriots to win so I never again have to hear:

1. How the '72 Dolphins were the greatest team of all time.

2. Chris Berman mentioning the '72 Dolphins after the last team each season loses its first game with that friggin' champagne popping sound effect. ](*,)

I picked NY to upset Dallas and Green Bay, and they didn't disappoint me. Why stop now??

Because the Patriots are much better than either of those 2 teams.

This game really comes down to the Pats offensive line. If they can give Brady time we will expose the Giants patchwork secondary. If the Giants fall behind early and abandon the run this game will get ugly.

I had a dream (nightmare?) that the Patriots won in a blowout and I was at the game. It was so bad that the Giants fans were gone... Half the seats were empty.

I think sportsbook.com said that the majority of the bets they have been receiving have been for the Giants to win, straight up (with a 3.5:1 payout).

That being said, Giants cover the spread, but Patriots take the game.

This is the only reason a non Patriot fan should want them to win. That being said I will cheer for the Pat's in this game as if they were the Bears. The most overrated and worst sports of all time need to finally shut up.
