You posing the question made the oldest too easy. I'm pretty sure it's Cobb. My guess for the youngest is Ted Williams, but I don't know about that.

Given that it's OMC, I wouldn't be surprised if the answer to both questions is Cobb.

One of them is Cobb, yes. But, oldest or youngest? And who is the other.

I seriously did consider that.

I think cbbryan has it.

Williams hit .400 once and it was pre-war, so there's no way he's the oldest.

Shoeless Joe Jackson was the youngest. I thought Williams was the oldest, but I can see Cobb as well. One of the two for oldest.

Correct on Jackson. Tyrone was the oldest.

I said my guess for oldest was Cobb and youngest was Williams.

Name the players (2) that had the longest career with only one team AND how many years was it?

2 players, 2 teams, how many years?

Aaron didn't play his whole career with one team. While Musial did, he's short on years for the record.

Correct on oldest. Tyrone hit .401 at age 35.

Williams is wrong on youngest.

Joe Jackson is the youngest. Tyrone is the oldest.

Both guys have been guessed now:

Yaz with Boston and Brooks Robinson with Baltimore played their entire career with one team for 23 years!

This one might be easy. There are 5 players out there that have hit more than 50 HRs in one season, but in no other season in their careers hit 40 or more. Can you name these 5 players?

The spoiler window will contain a hint for anyone who wants one. If you don't want a hint, do not open the spoiler.

Here are the decades that the players 50+ HR season occured:

30's - 1

60's - 1

90's - 1

00's - 2

Gonzalez, Maris, Anderson, & Prince Fielder....that's all I got off the top of my head.

I think you're forgetting someone if you only have 1 in this decade

Prince Fielder (2007) and Luis Gonzales (2001) -- Brady Anderson and Roger Maris are 2 more, I'm not sure about the 5th (or 6th if there were 2 in the 90's)
